Today’s little gem from the Universe is apropo for several reasons. A Blue Norther came through late yesterday evening and it’s freaking cold today, my birthday is twenty-one days away and I dang sure ain’t gettin’ any younger–despite my inner Peter Pan! And…you know? That ol’ Universe seems to have the right idea.
Silver, as surely as the snow falls, the winds rage, and the rivers run, so are you, minute by minute, day by day, inevitably drawn to all your heart desires.

So I’m acting on it. I’m dreaming and imagining and writing and all the things I need to do to achieve my heart desires. Today, I’m going to sit back, enjoy my coffee, and work my tail off on SECRETS. I’ve been dealing with Excel Hell doing the NRCA assignments. I’m behind. Ah, well. The other day, I was craving pie. I never crave pie. So I was begging the Hubs for coconut or choc pie-mostly joking. Last night I was sick, so out with meds all night. This morn when I got up, there were not one, but 2 pies in the fridge. You guessed it, Coconut and chocolate…so guess what I’m having for breakfast this morning? hehe Coconut! (cause its fruit,right? It qualifies as breakfast food) — My hearts desire right there!
On the writing front, realized WRECK was due to editor Feb 24. *gulps* I thought no way will I get it done in time. Well, I’ve already been through it once. Now, to go through it again and add some stuff. So I might get this baby to her this early next week! Nothing like being ahead of the game a bit. The summer story is due to a different editor March 30–and it’s not done. So maybe not exactly AHEAD of the game. And I really thought I’d have FIXT in writing stage by now. Uh…. no.
I gotta go find that pie!

Let’s just say I’ve been so busy slogging away on getting my heart’s desire ready for a Friday the 13th launch that I didn’t even remember to stop by here yesterday. Heh, it didn’t even occur to me that Dying Embers will launch on Friday the 13th until just this minute. I was more focused on Valentine’s Day. Doubly good! Woohoo! Bad luck and heartache and old flames. Teehee.
I really need to get out more.
