The weather is changing. Today is chilly with overcast, rainy skies. It’s the start of a new week.
I’m thinking chili for dinner, to go with the NLC playoff game. That’s National League Championship. St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers. My dad was a HUGE Dodgers’ fan, back when they were the BROOKLYN Dodgers, and until they snuck away from Brooklyn in the middle of the night and moved across country. He never forgave them. Somehow, I managed to grow up to be a Cards fan. He forgave me for that. 😉
I’m working on the Moonstruck Christmas novella. I’m not thrilled with it, but I hope it’ll get better. The main thing is to get the rough draft down on paper. I have to remind myself this is just a little something extra–a side trip, like pulling off the highway onto a scenic overlook. I just haven’t found my “oh wow” view yet.
I still have a couple of things to finish up before the trip Friday. I have to drag down one of the suitcases and see if everything will fit. I’m really-REALLY hoping I don’t have to drag books home. If I do, that’ll be good for y’all. I do some giveaways. 🙂
Did you have a good weekend? And…it’s Monday. The start of brand new week. What opportunities are on your radar? What are you going to do with the gift of the new week? Me? I’m going to get as much done on the Christmas story as I can, in between errands and chores.

My Monday starts off with a dentist appointment. At least most of the state offices are closed for Columbus Day, so traffic should be a little lighter.
BTW, I’m doing a series spotlight on the Faerie Trilogy over at my blog today. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance. 😉 http://lizasblog-liza.blogspot.com/2013/10/faerie-trilogy-spotlight.html
I saw! I’ve shared on FB and Twitter. I need to get to G+ and get it up there, too. Thanks!!! You rock, but you know that. 😀 And ugh on the dentist but anything to keep that awesome smile of yours. 😀 (What? No, I am NOT sucking up. 😉 )
I’m taking the opportunity to drink some coffee. And later, I’ll probably use it to get some more editing work done. (Didn’t get nearly as much accomplished yesterday as I hoped.) We’ll see how the day goes. Chili for dinner sounds awesome, but I have salmon burgers defrosting. Maybe I’ll heat up some leftover chili for lunch. The cooler weather is definitely turning me to thoughts of hearty food.
Christmas Moon will come together. I know it will. Maybe after your trip you’ll hit it with renewed vigor and find that awesome view. =o)
The weekend here meant bulb planting, baking cookies and reading with spurts of editing thrown in for good measure. This spring my yard is going to look awesome. I hope.
I KNOW your yard will look awesome and I won’t tell you how happy I am that you’re editing again! I’m thinking maybe beef stew and cornbread now. Either way, I have to get out to the store either way. I need dog food and fixings. I guess I should check radar to see if a break is coming. 😆
Hmmm, we just got back from Alumni Weekend in PA and we found a house to rent when we move there. It’s small but do-able for a year tops … until we establish ourselves and get to look for something better. Now we just have to cross our fingers that the job prospects are a GO !!!
I’ve got a bunch of BJD commissions to get done but then I’m all about writing more on my story. I’d say I’m 2/3 done and I’m over 90,000 !!!
Yay for housing prospects and fingers crossed for the jobs! Dang, woman! 90K? You are ambitious. *chants* “Go, ban! Go ban! Go ban!”
I spent the morning laying on the sofa and catching up on some TV. Almost got the rest of the Halloween decorations in the yard done, still have the front porch to do, but it’s raining out. And Bones is on. One more day of vacation and off to NYC tomorrow morning to hit B&H Photo and stop in Kingston on the way home to check out 5th wheels.
Can’t wait to hear about this weekend! The Spawn and I are going to PA to visit friends and do a Halloween thing.
Sounds like you have a busy week! I’ll try to tweet and FB from Vegas and will give a recap next week! 🙂
