When I went looking for a Universal tidbit to share today, I’m not quite sure why this one claimed my attention from those I’ve tucked back. I’ve had a few bumps in the road lately, but nothing that would cause twists and turns or other upset on the road I’m traveling. Still, there’s something to be said for the message the Universe is passing along. Writers know all too well the sting of disappointment (low sales, rejections, writers block). We face setbacks and detours all the time as we type “Chapter 1” and proceed to add words to a blank page on the road to typing “The End.” I’ve been a lot of places in my career, and I have a lot more places I want to go. I hope the Universe is right. I hope everywhere I’ve been has prepared me for everywhere I’m headed.
Ironically, Silver, had it not been for every disappointment, setback, and detour in the road of your life, you wouldn’t have come so far.
Nice strategy.
Love, love –
The Universe

What about you? Where have you been that will help you get to where you’re going?

I have to agree with the universe today. I honestly believe if we don’t struggle first we never make it to where we are meant to be. Life sucks sometimes, but it makes us so much stronger. I know so many of the bumps in the road of life have helped me get to where I am today. Did I enjoy those bumps as they happened, no, but they were each so important. Obviously the universe has made me philosophical today. lol
There is no way I’d go back and redo things. I wouldn’t be me. I wouldn’t have the people I know and love around me–family, friends, etc.
😆 The Universe has a way of doing that. 😉
Without adversity, there would be no success. It’s sort of like how they say ‘necessity is the mother of invention’ – if you never needed anything, you wouldn’t have a reason to create anything new. Not sure how that equates exactly to my writing, but it fills a need in me. It always has.
And yes, I’ve had many bumps in the road. I used to wish certain things had never happened. Now I recognize that those things have made me who I am and brought me to this place. Good thing wishes don’t work that way. ;o)
Exactly! And yes, good thing that… If wishes were horses and all that. 😉
