I’m typing this in the middle of a thunderstorm so it’ll be short so I can shut down the computer for the duration.
My ‘pokes went down in defeat in the NCAA College World Series. They at least made it to the “final four.” Still…I haz a sadz. 😥 Though speaking of baseball, after sweeping the Cubs, my Cardinals went to Seattle and kept losing close games until the final yesterday afternoon–well, this afternoon because that when I’m typing this–when they won 11-6. It was a fun game.
I’m doing some beta reading and sorting through some thorns in DOUBLE TROUBLE. I’ll get them sorted out and get back to word count sometime today. I read/listened to some books last week but other than the In Death “re-listens,” I can’t really remember what I read. They weren’t bad books, I just…crowded brain.
I want Dierks Bentley’s new album, BLACK. Just sayin’…
Drover will need his water pump replaced before winter. Wheee. That’s only about $1200 not in the budget. Ah, well. Must write faster.
I like rain and thunderstorms just so long as they aren’t severe, even though it means I have a large black dog cowering under my desk.
And….damn. THAT lightning strike was a little too close. Shutting down now. How was your weekend?

Stay safe over there! :shouting that as if you could actually hear me: It’s on its way here, so I’ll be hunkering down later. I’d go fishing, but I’m adverse to getting zapped.
Sorry about Drover. That’s a :insert expletive:. Sorry about the ‘pokes, too. Yay for your Cardinals, though.
I was pretty much a toad this weekend. Not much got done. Read some stuff, watched some TV, laid around thinking about maybe tweaking Up Wish Creek. I’m not sure how much more I can really do without JC’s input.
It rocked and rolled last night. LOTS of lightning. And we got RAIN! That’s the good news. We really needed it. I’ve got to stop procrastinating and get to work. Let JC do her magic on UWC. Can’t wait to read it. And yeah, keep your head down today if you get the boomers. We’re mostly in the clear this morning and I definitely have to knuckle down!
We got nada. A few fat drops of rain. A little thunder in the distance. Squat. Last night and today. I should’ve gone fishing. I plan on it tomorrow. Unless we actually get a storm.
I hope you got some work done. One of us should. ;o)
Yeah…about that work… *looks guilty*
