Superbowl Monday

Who thinks the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a national holiday? Raise your hands… πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I mean, why not?

Did your team win? (At the time of setting up this blog, the game has not started yet so I can’t say if mine did or not.)

If you didn’t watch the game, did you watch the commercials? I’m doing both.

Did you fix anything special for munching during the game? Dinner will be/came about half time. We had sliced brisket, garlic parmesan new potatoes, and salad. There might be Girl Scout cookies for the 4th quarter.

I will “rank” my favorite Super Bowl commercials for tomorrow’s Tidbits.

On the sad news side, MOONSTRUCK: RETRIBUTION will likely NOT be up for pre-order. I’ve run into a couple of snags–on both the technical and creative sides. On the tech side, Word is messing with me. I have hopes to have the formatting done by tomorrow evening. 🀞🏼 On the creative side, I found some old “notes to self” about RETRIBUTION and at first, I wasn’t going to mess with them. Then Iffy found both the caffeine AND the chocolate stash, grabbed her scissors and it was Katie-bar-the-door. So yeah. Now the book has not one but TWO final epilogues. It happens. And yeah, I think the books is better for it. Hopefully, you readers will feel the same way.

Due to the push to get the book out the door and ready for publication, I haven’t spent much time listening to or reading other people’s books. I am close to the end of Ilona Andrew’s MAGIC SHIFTS (Dramatized Adaptation). I really do enjoy the Graphic Audio versions. Like their advertising says, it’s like a movie in your mind.

Not much else going on around here and as I look at the clock, it’s almost time for kick-off so… Later, taters! I’ll check in tomorrow morning after this posts. Hope your Sunday night was a good one and you have plenty of your brew of choice this morning…

Nooo. No more national holidays. The feds get enough time off as it is. (I know you were joking, but I had to say my piece.) I didn’t have a team. I didn’t watch the SB (or the Puppy Bowl or the Great American Rescue Bowl). I’ll catch the commercials as they filter through onto regular TV and when they get posted to the interwebs.

As for food, yesterday I made carrot cake for the first time. It turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. It could’ve been better, though, so I have some ideas for tweaking the recipe – now that I know this recipe works. For dinner we had hamburgers. Yum.

Sorry to hear you didn’t make your deadline either. :hugs: Eh, we little ol’ ants had high hopes and many distractions. We’ll get these books out into the world eventually, though. Cuz we’re awesome like that.

Yes, I was kidding. Working from home means most holidays are just another day. Same with Mondays. LOL Yum carrot cake and burgers. and yeah, stuff happens. I did get a lot done yesterday so likely that at least the ‘Zon and maybe B&N and Apple will be out there this coming weekend. Today is the last pass for the D2D version. Once it’s uploaded, I’ll set up the ‘Zon, since it releases quick.

      Stay warm today!

Since I grew up in South Jersey, I was rooting for the Eagles. I didn’t watch the first half, but when I drove to Walmart just before the first half ended, I turned on the NFL channel on Sirius XM, only to find out that the Eagles were ahead 24-0! I got home in time to catch the second half kickoff and watched the rest of the game. Dinner was Slim Chickens tenders as my son (who does most of the cooking) had a bad headache.

    • Silver James's avatar Silver James says:

Hope your son is feeling better. Headaches can be the worse. LG gets migraines so…yeah. The first half was ALL Eagles but the second half was probably a better game because at least it was sort of competitive.

Psst. As are as I’m concerned, you didn’t miss much at the halftime. πŸ˜‰

Hope all is well with you! ❀

I am not in favor of a national holiday for the Super Bowl.

I didn’t care who won but statistically Philly had a better team so I thought they would win. KC has the better QB so I thought it would be a tight game. WRONG!

I wanted to at least see the National Anthem but hubs didn’t really get it so there was no watching the game or the commercials. The ones I’ve seen are pretty good.

Sorry about the book throwing you a loop. I hope it’s all straightened out now.

    Have a great afternoon.

Sorry Hubs had a bad day. The National Anthem was notable for the camera work–at one point focusing on the President saluting and then cutting to West Point where the cadets were in formation saluting back. It was cool. Jon Babtiste sang it (accompanying himself on the piano). He gave it a New Orleans twist. It was okay.

The book is what it is. LOL I’ll wend my way through sooner or later. Hope yesterday (since I’m a day late on replies) went better for you. ❀
