Thursday Thoughts: Universal Knowing

Sometimes, I wonder if blogging is worth the time and effort. Heck, sometimes, I wonder if social media is worth it. Yes, I’ve made friends that I’ve never seen in person and probably never will. Yes, I stay in touch with friends that I have met but we live far-flung lives. See, I’m basically an introvert. Oh, I can put myself out there. In fact, I’ve been an actress–but that was like writing. I put on somebody else’s “life” and pretended to be them for awhile. I’ve also been a fire chief and taken command of incidents. I guess it’s the two fish constantly circling each other and it depends on which is on top when the current stops. I’m a Pisces, you see. And no, I haven’t had much coffee yet, why do you ask? Anyway. The Universe hit me with this:

The only way to get what you really want is to know what you really want.

The only way to know what you really want is to know yourself.

The only way to know yourself is to be yourself.

And the only way to be yourself, Silver, is to listen to your heart.

I do,
The Universe

P.S. French toast every now and then might help, too, Silver.

I wish there waqs a way to magically write books. I mean, like a dream up the story and book fairy plucks the words out of my imagination and with a sweep of her magic wand displays them on the monitor. There it is–the book whole cloth, in no need of revisions, timeline perfect, plot points in place, and character arcs guaranteed to make readers everywhere fall in love with the them and everyone wants to read it and Hollywood wants to make it into a movie and…and… Wait. What was the question? Okay, Big U. The message is there. I just need to figure it out. Maybe I’ll go fix some French toast for breatkfast…

And I’ve been a horrible commenter. It’s not you. It’s totally me. Some… err, most days I don’t feel like I have anything to say. (Which is probably part of my whole not-writing thing.) :hugs:

And if you ever figure out the magical book-making spell, let me know. I could use it. The scenes are in my head. It’s getting them onto paper in a way that makes them not-lame that’s tripping me up.

Go forth and do French toast. It’s sounds yummy. And have a great day! :hugs:

Holds out plate! Just syrup on mine please.

Did you do the French toast? I did the wallyworld. And then I tried to do something online and ended up with 10 charges for the same service. *headdesk* It’s mostly fixed. The good news is, I ended up writing almost 1K words in the aftermath.

Did you see the northern lights? I missed the big display. Slept through it and last night, nothing showed whenever I stepped outside.

Let’s work on that spell together, okay?

I did not make French toast, but I did make that chocolate bread I’ve been talking about. (It’s a yeasted bread… not to be confused with the chocolate banana bread I made the other day.) Ack about the 10x charge. Glad you got it fixed. I missed the Northern lights, too. I looked, but nothing. I think I looked too early.

Abracadabra! Nope, no words here yet. =o

Deep!! Lots to think about. What’s sad is that we have to be almost ready to not be, before we really discover what we be!!!!😢

I hope you decide you really do need social media!!! I know I would be lost without it. I have a real life too, but there is just something special about waking up every morning and wondering what the day will bring!!

Naw. I won’t give it up, though I do fall down the rabbit hole sometimes. I miss the old Twitter in some ways. There were readers on there that would interact. Writers could tout out books and people would buy them. Now, with the algorithm and monetized accounts taking up the bandwidth, I just muddle along. But there are people I care about so I won’t disappear.

I hope you had your French Toast. The Universe is usually right about things and that sounded like a great way to begin today. Did you add nutmeg or cinnamon?

I give you authors huge credit. Just attempting to write a book is a feat in my eyes.

I hope your day is going well.

Naw. I was too lazy. 😄 But when I make French toast, I use both. Maybe I make French toast for dinner one night this weekend. Anyway, the Universe has a way of getting the message out there. And I did write today so there’s that. Thank you for being a friend as well as a faithful reader! 🤗

I’m glad we get to connect….last few months crazy with dad in the hospital unexpectedly and rehab, fight with his insurance company and working onthe house so he can come home …oh and trying to figure out how I’m moving in with him, merge 2 feline families and keep my house with outside cats going.. adventure!

Mom used to fix French toast sometimes. Always good.

    Blessings

Me too. I worry for you and your dad. I know you are around and that’s enough but always appreciate when you “check in” to let me know how things are going. Hang in there. You are a good daughter and fingers crossed the kitties sort themselves out with the move! ❤️
