Today is April 19th. Instead of focusing on the anniversary, I am going to share something that makes me smile. A lot. 😀
As most of you know, I have Newfoundlands. Cooper is a registered Newf Landseer (black and white). Boone is a shelter rescue, half Newf/half Golden retriever. Before them was Kodi, another rescue Newf mix, and before Kodi was Kaiser, our first registered Newf. Kaiser raised The Only. And while Coop is black and white, he looks like Benny, as did Kaiser. And man, does this commercial pin the whole experience down.
Well, but for the slug slime. That eats the paint off walls, finish off cars, and can be used as glue.

That was my thought! I’m tired of waking up to new disasters. 😦
Heh. Newfies are a heapin’ handful. I’d want one, but the slime… I already have a drooly cat. He’s enough to deal with. And he’s only 12 lbs. 100+ lbs of drooling furbaby would kill me.
Speaking of which, Hairy Maxie Drooly Face is loving his new room – which is the entire 2 car garage. Hubs has been taking him outside for supervised walks (we have foxes and coyotes in the area here) so he gets fresh air – beyond the windows Hubs opens for him every day. And Queen Kira is settling into her new kingdom. Life is good.
So glad the cats are settling in! I was surprised that Coop doesn’t drool nearly as much as Kaiser did. Breeders are getting away from the deep jowls now, which is good. 😆 Even when there’s drool, you just carry a towel. They are such gentle giants, yet so protective. And funny. I never have a camera with me when Cooper makes faces or does something Cheezburger worthy.
I just saw this ad for the first time about 10 minutes before opening the blog. And thought of you and yours when I saw it!! And totally cracked up. I’m glad you posted something fun!
Ev, LG is STILL trying to catch it. Since if first saw it, I’ve seen it several times now. I crack up every time I watch it. 😀

I do love them. Like crazy! Every dog that’s owned me has been special but there’s something super-special about the Newfies. 😀
