Start, Middle, End – Universally

I’ve posted something similar to this before. I just can’t remember when, and it was probably before I switched to the new format. Or not. shifty-eyes-ani2faster

However, each time I embark on a new project or get to the end of one, I need to remind myself of this.

It’s the final moments, Silver, that define a journey and the first ones that make it possible.

Both, you have total control over.

Whop, whop!
~~The Universe

The middle moments, Silver, are for living, loving, and donut breaks.

Doesn’t that just sum up a WIP? The first chapter makes the journey through the book possible. It sets mood, character, direction. And the final moments define what occurred in story. Everything that happens before culminates in those final moments. And in the middle, the story lives, loves, and the author takes lots of donut breaks! Maybe I’m doing it wrong. Maybe the book should have donut breaks. Hrrmmm.

Again, great advice from The Universe! Mmmmm, donuts 😉

  2. I want a donut break! How come I never get donut breaks? :pout: I knew I was doing this author thing wrong. No donuts.

Seriously, though. Great message from the Universe today.

The Krispy Creme closest to me closed and Dunkin Donuts is out of my way. But…but…I may have to take a break. I haven’t had donuts in sooooo long! Maybe that’s why I’m not writing. Hrmmmmm. *looks shifty-eyed*

    Donuts! Donuts!

The universe offers advice AND DONUTS!!! Mind blown. 🙂

But, seriously, if you put donut breaks – or donut CHAPTERS – in your next book, I’ll be the first in line to write a review. With a special mention to donuts.

This was EXACTLY the happy post I needed to read on this dreary, rainy FL day. Hugs!
    Namaste.

Michelle, if you are in the watch/warning area down there around Tampa, be safe! And yes, there will be donuts–or at least beignets–in my current WIP! 😉 Thanks for stopping by.

Actually, I am in the Tampa Bay area (St. Petersburg), but the storm has moved northeast and things have cleared up quite a bit, here. Thanks for asking.

There’s always room for beignets at the breakfast table – so now I’m intrigued! Yummy!

I’m familiar with the area, though moreso Tampa around USF and east toward Lakeland. I have friends down there.

The heroine in my current WIP is in New Orleans. I’ll be sending her for cafe au lait and beignets before long. 😉 But she’s also an FBI agent so there may be donuts in her future, too. 😆

I know the area very well, as I graduated from USF and my brother and his family live in Lakeland.

I ADORE NOLA. And, a female lead character who is an FBI agent, is right up my alley!
I’ll be adding your new book to my TBR list.
