And it’s Monday! Again. I have a day of opportunities and freedoms because men and women offered up a part of themselves in order to serve this country, to ensure that the dreams of the founding fathers did not get ground beneath the heels of tyranny and those who hate us. To all who have served, and to those who are serving, to their families who make so many sacrifices to support their soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, and coast guardsmen, THANK YOU.
Did you survive the weekend? I did and I’m actually out of bed for the first time in about four days. Adidas is all out of sorts, though. She likes it when I stay in bed writing. She can cuddle without fighting the keyboard, my desk chair, and me. I think I’ve licked whatever sinus ickiness I had. Just in time for the weather to turn icky tonight and tomorrow. Time to run some quick errands so I can stay in warm and snug tomorrow!
So, here’s the update. CHRISTMAS MOON is getting a last pass before heading to editor. It’s over my 25K goal but I don’t have a final count yet. I’m poking the cover artist (Psst. Only!) for ideas. With luck, the novella will be available before Thanksgiving. I’m moving on to Phase Two of NaNoWriMo–THE DEVIL’S CUT. Book 2 of the Penumbra Papers is Caleb’s story. He’s undercover in the New Mexico desert and north into Colorado on the trail of a devilish murderer. He discovers a reluctant partner in a Colorado Bureau of Investigation CSI named Adele Kincaid. Sade, Sinjen, and the whole crew will be there, too. Plus, I’m also dealing with a Sooper Sekrit Project. I don’t mean to be a tease but I don’t want to jinx it. November 30th is rushing at me like the blue norther scheduled to hit here tonight.
I’m also taking a bit of a break from writing, despite the deadlines. I need to get the prizes from SEASON OF THE WITCH’s release week put together, addressed and mailed. Plus, I’m headed to a writer’s conference in New Orleans in December and I need to put swag together for the bags there. I need like ten more hours every day and the energy to stay awake that long. 😆
So how was your weekend and what’s your weather look like?

Thank you for your Veteran’s Day tribute, Silver. The day kinda snuck up on me. So glad you’re feeling better. With all the stuff you’ve got going on, being sick has to suck. (not that it doesn’t suck anyway, but it’s times like this when it sucks extra hard.) :hugs:
I survived the weekend. Not sure if this yo-yo weather is gonna get me, though. And like you, it’s supposed to be nice today and do a temp dump tonight. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and drinking OJ. I might even make chicken soup. ;o)
Really to all that have and do still serve-thank you doesn’t seem like enough!
