The Weather Outside is…

Snow Dogs …Frightful. At least here! How is it in your neck of the woods? At least the snow and frigid temperatures kept me inside and working. Yes. The Sooper Sekrit Project has been completed and submitted. I should hear something in a week or so as to whether it’s good to go or needs more work.

My OSU Cowboys lost to the Sooners–our in-state rivals. 😦 However, B.E.’s Michigan State boys beat that other OSU (Ohio State) so that was good! We play Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. OU plays Alabama in…some bowl. 😆 I wasn’t paying close attention. And speaking of football, did anyone watch the Lions/Eagles game in Philadelphia? Holy crap! Six inches of snow in the course of the game? Yikes!

Reading! Who’s been doing some? I needed a break from work this weekend and after going through all the books on my Kindle and all the books on the TBR files, I couldn’t find anything that just jumped out at me. I ended up starting Angie Fox’s ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER. It’s different. The hero is a shapeshifting griffin and the heroine’s grandmother rides a Harley with a coven of old biker witches. Yeah…those were my thoughts, too. 😆

Hair cut today, packing and trip prep tomorrow, and then fun, travel, and adventure on Thursday. I’m looking forward to another visit to New Orleans. Of course, it’s supposed to rain. Figures, right?

So what are y’all up to?

We got some ice followed by a little snow last night. You know we can’t handle that stuff in TN, so we have schools closed today. Not looking forward to driving to work today. Had planned on getting allergy shots today, but putting off until tomorrow if roads are iffy when I head out.

Our schools are still closed. The main roads aren’t bad–it’s getting through the side streets that are dangerous and the busses just get slip-slidding away. One of the local weathermen parked his SUV in his driveway, dashed in for dinner, and walked out to find the vehicle in the street. It slid down his driveway. 😆

      Be safe!

  2. I haven’t looked outside yet, but Hubs thinks we got a little snow. We’re planning on going out into the world today. We’ll see. Boo for the Cowboys loss. Yay for the Spartans win! The Lions game was just nasty looking. You expect that stuff in Green Bay, but not Philadelphia.

I snuck away from Les Mis to read something fun – the first book in Lilian Braun’s ‘Cat Who’ series. =o) Ooo, I’ve read Accidental Demon Slayer. I remember it being very enjoyable.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a nice trip for you. Lots of safe and stress-free travel. Adventure… but not too much. ;o)

Nothing’s happening here. Got the xmas cards done and I’ll be taking them to the post office today. Then the bank, and Walmart. Hubs wants to Christmas shop today. Me? I’m still not ready for that. Heh, and he’s usually the one waiting til the last minute.

Am I bad to feel like a Scrooge this year? The thought of dragging out decorations just makes me cringe. Heck, I didn’t even get the table decorated for Thanksgiving until the day before. I put the wreath on the door. That’s enough, right? Next year it will be different because the Magic Bean will be celebrating his first Christmas and the year after that will be huge because…toddler! 😆 Oh! I still have lights on Nessie, too. Does that count? *looks hopeful*

Got something to say?
