In-Between Times

funny-dog-pictures-not-ready-for-mondayThe time between Christmas and New Year’s always feels a bit Twilight Zone-ish to me. The old year is coming to a close and the new year is just hanging out there on the horizon, not quite in sight yet but definitely not out of mind.

I take time to reflect during this period–to reminisce about the year just past and what will come when the clock strikes midnight on December 31. It’s a time for goodbyes. A time for assessment. A time of decisions of what’s to be. A time of dreaming about what will come.

Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing my thoughts and discussing some of the new directions I have planned for my life and for this site and blog. It’s all good. I promise.

Until then, may you have family, friends, heart family, and all good things in your life.

  1. I think this year is especially weird because it’s Wednesday to Wednesday. Bleh. I’m totally confused about what day it is.

I can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned. Here’s hoping there aren’t any hard goodbyes in store and that your assessments of the year passed and the year ahead are good ones. :hugs: May all the good things in life be yours, too.

I’ve been doing some assessing myself. No decisions here. Nothing to announce. Just limbo.

Goodbyes are always hard but people come and go in our lives. As do characters, sometimes. πŸ˜† No, I’m not planning on killing off anyone important. Just some people I cared about passed from my life and I miss them. I’m looking forward to good things to come!

And yes! LIMBO! That’s what this week feels like. Thank you!

Yep, as B.E. said, I’m in Limbo this week. Reflecting and projecting. Looking forward to your thoughts and plans for 2014, Silver!!! Enjoy the self-reflection – and a Happy New Year to you and Lawyer Guy!!

  3. I look forward to your wisdom/take on things— Silver
I have looked at a few things I want to put in place for 2014, my writing being on the top and better organized on that * as I look around living rm* lol
Silver did you take pics of your space? Lol
I feel like I am sitting revving up the engine ready to put it in gear!
    Have a great day everybody!

I don’t know how wise I am, Kimber, but I’ll expound on “nothing” forever! πŸ˜† I’m so glad you’re going to concentrate on your writing. I did take one pic, and I’ll take more but I’ve done little to rectify the mess. That’s on my list. *nods* No really. Stop laughing, y’all! πŸ™„

I recently did a post abut twilight being the time-between-time.
    Same feeling, yeah?

Got something to say?
