Winter is being a tenacious witch. Mother Nature is bi-polar running cold then hot then cold then…well, you get the idea.
Every time I hear this song, I think about warm weekend nights back when I was in high school and had, rather than a candy-apple red rag top, a lemon-creme yellow one. Of course, I remember cruising the main drag on Christmas night with the top down, heater and 8-track blasting, too.
Anyway, I’m ready to at least pretend warmer weather is on the way so sit back and enjoy a little Friday Night with Eric Paslay.
Anybody have big plans? Little ones? Me? I’m working and reading contest entries. It’s that time of year… 😉

TGIF!! We’ve just got over Whiteout Wednesday and now they’re telling us we have not one, but two storms heading our way for the weekend! WTH?? These will be rain events, but still – come on, Mother Nature, give it a rest already! *sigh*
Nothing on for the weekend – I may decide to hibernate with a giant chocolate cake!
The weather is just freaking crazy, Janet! Hibernation is good but if you’re going to eat that cake, put on some music and dance while you’re eating! Have a warm weekend!
Fun song! I never participated in the cruisin’ but it was Flint, and the big cruise was up & down Dort Hwy (which was where the hookers, etc. also cruised). :shudder:
I can’t seem to brain good this morning, so I have no clue what I’m doing this weekend.
Yeah, cruisin’ in the city would be different. We had Highway 81 and went from the Sonic to the Tastee Freeze to the A&W, then back to Sonic. Sometimes we’d park to get vanilla or cherry cokes (back in Sonic had little plastic animals as cup “huggers” and watch the rest of the kids cruise through. Lots of hookups in those days! #fondmemories 😉

I have fond memories of cruisin’ the main drag in my hometown. So not the same as it was when i was in high school.
Heading to my dad’s for the weekend. I have an eye appointment and a hair appointment (hair so needs color) tomorrow and the home early Sunday to get laundry done. Only other plans are to read and get reviews posted this weekend.
That reminds me, I need to make an appointment to get my hair cut. I’m about a month late but between LG’s MICU stay, The Only/BB’s move, and the Sprout’s arrival, getting a haircut was shoved past the back burner and all the way into the freezer!
