Monday. Uhm-kay…

funny-pictures-my-official-monday-faceHow does this happen? I turn around…or close my eyes…or go to refill my coffee cup and it’s Monday. Again. Stupid bugger. It just keeps showing up like an uninvited wedding guest.

I read last week. A lot. The Goodreads challenge says I’ve only read 78 books. I’ve actually read 81 because…rereads. 😀 GR doesn’t accept rereads for the challenge. Oh well. I enjoyed them! The next few weeks has some great books releasing, so lots more reading, I’m sure.

I did NOT write much last week. My head was…elsewhere. And I think Iffy is having an affair with the Coffee Fae. They’ve both been MIA. I’ll round them up this week because I have way too many characters jabbering at me. I need to get COWGIRL’S SWEETHEART drafted so I can revise and get it off to Mr. HEd. And then get on to other projects. Yay.

New/old shows are starting up. Longmire’s new season starts Monday (today). I’m also catching up two seasons of Vikings. I DVR’d the show but never got around to watching. I guess I’m in a sort of “bloody-minded” mood of late so I’m watching it and thinking…wow! Why did I put it off? This is a History channel series. Check it out.

This week, I’ll be refocusing on writing. Or else. 😉 What’s cookin’ with y’all?

  1. Ugh. Monday. Bleh.

Good job on the reading. 81 out of 100? Time to readjust your goal, I’d say. I’m at 51 out of 100 right now. At this pace I’ll probably hit 120, but I’m waiting because who knows what the summer will bring. Hubs is happy because Mountain Men started up again. I’ll be happy on June 20th when Cold Justice comes back. Now, go write. Because you’re freakin’ me out. It’s all Twilight Zone when I actually get more done than you.

You already know what’s going on in my life. I hit my goal. And despite the fact that I said I was taking Sunday off, and the post I wrote yesterday morning for Today’s Killer Chicks talks about how deflated I was, I popped out another 2K last night. Put Jo in an awful predicament, then got her out and landed her right in another one. She hates me right now, but the writing is good. I think. I hope. :crosses fingers:

I’m going to hit 100 before I readjust because I’m “fixing” my GR widget here to reflect what I’ve actually read, rather than their total. I don’t do percentages well. 😆

If you notice the word widget, I did hit 25% of my goal. And I’ve written some more since I last updated, plus words on NIGHT MOVES (the first person biker novel whose hero disturbs me at inconvenient times and tells me to pay attention to what he’s saying. And now Pretty Woman (his name for the heroine because she hasn’t introduced herself to him OR me yet) thinks I should write the same story from HER POV. *headdesk*

Good on you for freaking Jo the hell out. It’s good we make our characters suffer! 😈

RAGT is this week in Cincy. Trying to get everything packed and ready to head out after work tomorrow. Also must pretty much do a week’s worth of work in 2 days at work. Co worker will cover most things, but I don’t want her to have to do too much of my work if possible.

Got something to say?
