It’s Monday? RUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!

T-Rex MondayThis is definitely me today! I spent the weekend working on formatting. In my brilliant (and highly caffeinated) state of being, I decided I could format MOONSTRUCK: SECRETS for print. Yeah…I know. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?!?!

At 9:39 last night, I sat back at my desk and realized that yes, I was capable of formatting the darn thing. It wasn’t too hard, once I figured out the pitfalls. eye sigh Of course, today, when I look at it, I may be running down the street screaming. If I’m not, I’ll start on THAT OL’ BLACK MAGIC to get it ready for POD. I’m probably too late to get any copies printed in time for my next personal appearance, but oh, well. I’ll be at the Anadarko Public Library for a book sale and signing on April 4th. This being sick crap has put me way behind schedule on stuff, when my brain is working through the medications well enough to actually…you know…THINK!!!! Ah well.

Whenever I’d get frustrated with formatting, I’d read. I’m working my way through Jayne Castle’s (aka Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick) Harmony series. It’s sort of SciFi/Fantasy and there are actually several series under the loose umbrella of her Arcane Society series. I haven’t read the early books since my Caribbean cruise in 2011 so it’s fun to reread them. She has a new one coming out set in the Harmony world this summer. No, I won’t be doing a reread for it. LOL I do have a beta read to get to, as well. I’m looking forward to it. S’always more fun to edit someone else. *bwahahaha*

I really didn’t do much else. Lawyer Guy and I went shopping Saturday for Sprout’s birthday. He’ll be ONE in a week or so. The kid is a little monkey. 😆 He has teeth. And he’s walking. And we all swear that he actually says words and sentences in the midst of the jabber. We watched some baseball. We ate BBQ and hamburgers. I watched blue skies and sunshine out my window. OH! And I finally have two daffodil blossoms. Better late than never, right? I think so!

So what about y’all? What did you do this weekend? Good weather or bad? Books read? Movies watched? Yard worked? Inquiring minds (MINE!) want to know. ❤

Read a little this weekend. Went to see an indie film with brother, aunt and uncle. It is called Girlhood and is a French film with subtitles. It was interesting, but wouldn’t see it again. Did enjoy getting to spend time with family tho. Other than cleaning and 5K training, nothing else happened with me this weekend. I did get a pretty awesome book in the mail over the weekend and can’t wait to read another cowboy story. 🙂

Well, since you couldn’t find it on Net Gallery and I just happen to have some copies laying around and I’m always in need of reviews and you’re an awesome reviewer and… 😉

Yeah, films with subtitles don’t do for me but good family time is always the best!

  2. Enjoy the sunny skies also– cut the grass, put new artificial fflowers in mailbox planter (in the Texas heat nothing survives), spring wreath thingy on the door.
Hung out in B&N cafe –Fri/Sat evening–but they need a SSSHHHH section–are a volume button on the peeps??? *rolling eyes*
Moonstruck in print *claps* have a spot all ready *winking*
    Sprout almost a year already!!

Time flies, Kimber! LOL And yay. I should have the cover tonight and that’s all that’s needed for it go to the printers. CreateSpace already approved the interior. 🙂

      Enjoy the weather!

  3. I looked at paying someone to format my book for print and oh man. I read up on it, and then did it myself. (I’m such a skinflint.) I’m so glad you got yours formatted and approved by CS! Yay you!

OMG, I can’t believe Sprout is year old already! Time whizzes right by, doesn’t it?

We had lovely weather, so we worked in the yard. And after a whole winter of sitting on my buns, I paid for it. LOL. Other than that, I got WT finished and sent it to the editor. She says she’ll have it back to me by the end of the month. Yay. Now I really need to get off my duff and get working on Fertile Ground for an Aug/Sept launch. And I read Jennifer Hillier’s The Butcher. Totally creepy suspense novel. :shudder: Then I started to re-read On a Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. =o)

It really helps to be anal. 😆 I used to do some html coding so I’m used to going blind looking at lines of letters and stuff. I’m still going to send the MSS to D2D to do the epub and mobi files and upload them to channels other than Amazon.

Yay for WT back to Ms. Editor! Now don’t be overdoing the yardwork. You need to be in shape to write! 😉
