Thursday Thoughts: Universal Time

universe When this nudge from the Universe hit my inbox, I was reminded of my Faerie Reign books–the River of Time in Tir Nan Og and the various lives lived for better or worse. I was feeling all philosophical when I tapped into it again while looking for a post for today. Then Iffy appeared.

There are days I wish she’d disappear. Of course, she’s never around when I really need her, and always around when I don’t. 😆 Which is my way of saying that now I have all sorts of ideas swirling around in my head. I’ve wanted to write a SciFi story since I read my first Andre Norton *cough* years ago. Don’t ask the direction my thoughts are taking but stars, children, and ten thousand names may someday appear in a book.

Silver, to clarify “eternal” just a smidge…

Once the river of time has rounded her final bend, and the last star in the sky has brightened its last night, and every child who may ever be conceived has been given ten thousand names… we will have just begun.

Got time?

Silver, when I think of how much you and I have to look forward to, I have to stop and give thanks that you even exist.

But not for a long time. Too many other books to get written first. But yes, Universe, I have much to look forward to. Deadlines. Books. Fun. Travel. Adventure. And all the wonderful people who visit here. Y’all rock my world and I count your names among those stars. 🙂

  1. Yeah, I totally get that. Your SF will probably be written around the same time as my YA fantasy. ;o) So many books, so little time. And if time is a river, I could use a little flooding now and then.

Of course, I’d have more time if I spent it better. Which means I should probably get off the internet and get working.

And btw, you rock my world, too.

I actually have a SF/Fantasy written. It starts out in space–or a least a “future” planet, transitions to a spaceship, and ends on a planet ruled by magic. It’s a swords and sorcery space opera. LOLOL Yeah…hard to market and needs lots of edits. I’ve toyed with the idea of splitting it into a two-part serial but time! And I have an idea for another SF that’s a bit more SF-ish, and then thoughts on a “true” SF. I need to clone myself. LOLOL

And yeah, I need to get off the net and work too.

  2. Will read whatever you long to write–Silver
I thanks my stars for your books, friendship and mentoring to keep going on this wild journey of writing.
You will always rock in my book–as I know others will agree!!!
