If you’re Southern, you’ll understand the whole Christmas Eve gift thing. My mother delighted in being the first to say it each year, waking my brother and me up with the phrase. She answered the phone that way, and always greeted whoever came to the door with, “Christmas Eve Gift.” So…Christmas Eve Gift! Because all of you are that to me. Your friendship, loyalty, encouragement, and understanding sustain me every day. There aren’t enough thanks, or gifts, for what all y’all give to me! Merry Christmas!
