Friday Sinema: Biggest Silence

I was a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan when I was young. I even saw them in concert at the old Fieldhouse on the OU campus when I was in high school. Their “Sounds of Silence” was a song I can still sing along with to this day (when I can’t remember the name of a secondary character without checking my list). The heavy metal band, Disturbed, has released a cover of this song. It is powerful. It is prophetic.

  1. Nope nope nope. Not a fan of remakes of songs I love, so I’ll skip today’s Sinema. Okay, so I do like the remake of “Mrs. Robinson” by the Lemonheads, but that’s an exception to the rule. And they sped it up so much, it sounds like a different song. I’m just a stick in the mud.
