My mother was a Ryan on one side and a West on the other. My dad had Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and Swedish ancestors. I grew up thinking I was probably pretty much the same, given I was adopted and the deal back then was to match up things like that. Turns out I’m 1/4 Choctaw, 1/4 Bohemian, and 1/2 French. Uhm…ho-kay… Yeah, the French sort of threw me. Still, there could be some Celtic roots there so I remain Irish in my heart. 😀 That said, almost everyone is a little bit Irish today.
No Thursday Thoughts today, just an Irish toast that sums up my feelings for everyone who drops by here, whether to read and run, or stop to visit for a bit.
What about y’all? Are you Irish today, too?

I went back and looked at my genealogy and, yes, I do have Irish in me – mostly from the 1600s and the 1700s. My genetic makeup has been a long time out of Ireland. The earliest Irish ancestors were John and Jennette (McElvaney) Ewing born in 1648 and 1652 respectively. Fun stuff.
Yep. The friendships are the best. I’m so lucky to have yours. :hugs: Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
That’s a ditto right back at you! Happy St. Paddy’s Day to you!
Grandma Gelineau maiden name was Fenny. So enough said, guys at work scrambling to find some green today! Lol Have a great
day!
I have to get out for a grocery run. I, too, will be scrambling for green! 😉
I am at least 1/4 Irish. My great grandparents had a slight accent 🙂 My gram made corned beef and cabbage every 3-17 (YUCK!!!!) and gave us green milk. I gave my daughters Irish names, adopted an Irish pseudonym for online gaming and my art business, and I include something Irish in everything I write. (Except my first story, which is Epic Fantasy but I pay homage through symbolism 😉 )
I always forget to wear something green though! Dang it…
Consider yourself pinched! And I always wondered why you picked Bansidhe for your name. You never seemed like the screaming harbinger of death type. 😉
Weeeeeell, I thought that would be a fun name for 1st person shooter games 😉
LOL
