Today is election day here in the states. I’m ignoring Real Life and thought other people might want to do the same. Here’s a round up of some fun links I’ve been collecting for procrastination purposes. Go forth and have some fun!
Cosmo decided to have some fun. Some of their staff texted random quotes from various romance novels to their significant others. Here’s the result: TEXTING ROMANCE How would your SO react? 😀

Every author I know has received the dreaded rejection letter. This REJECTION CHECKLIST from a 1915 movie studio is too funny–and still too true.
I’m not big on quizzes but since I’m avoiding anything to do with Real Life today, this one is short and kinda fun. What Shapeshifter are you? FYI, I’m a dragon. 😉
And as long as we’re doing quizzes, here’s another shorty: What Romance Novel are you? I’m not telling what I am. But it made me laugh. And is probably true, given my current series.
And finally, for those of you who really like to procrastinate, like to make book “memes”/ads, here’s a fairly comprehensive and easy-to-follow tutorial for using Canva. If you haven’t heard of Canva, you should check it out. Just Google. I signed up, piddled with it, got busy and let it slide because I was having trouble with the learning curve–mainly no time/no patience. This YOUTUBE VIDEO is about 14 minutes long and I’m going to make time to watch and play. EDIT: I got a very nice email from Kate the Community Outreach person at Canva. She asked if I would share their direct link. If I hadn’t been so lazy, I would have earlier. Go sign up with CANVA HERE!
Today and tomorrow are good days to procrastinate and stay away from the real world. I hope these links give you some fun time. 😀
I’ll probably watch the car accident in progress and then disappear tomorrow. I suspect I will spend many hours wishing I hadn’t quit drinking, and that bottle of gin I can’t make myself throw out will be calling to me. Today, though, I have to go grocery shopping, call Mom, and vote. Maybe I’ll throw myself into writing tonight to escape the madness. I’m at a good part and if it weren’t for my aching fingers, I would’ve typed well into the night last night. The fingers won. Darn it.
Yay on the urge to write late into the night! I worked late on final edits. I’d hoped to get RESCUE MOON formatted too but that didn’t happen. I also planned to get an early start this morning but computer issues.
That’s on tap for today. And voting. Plus Papa Murphy’s pizza for dinner! And a grocery run. Fun times.
Small world. I also went grocery shopping today and had pizza for dinner. From ten to two, though, we were fishing. Then we voted. Now I’m pooped.
Sistahs of a different mistah. Just sayin’… 😉 Did you catch anything?
