It’s unseasonably warm around here, not that I’m complaining. And this recipe, which seems to be making the rounds, is light and refreshing. Or should be. Are you one of those people who loves sweet and sour? All about the Sour Patch Kids candy? How about a yummy and semi-healthy alternative? Also called “Glitter Grapes,” rumor has it they taste just like the famous sweet-yet-sour gummy candy, and are slightly healthier. Oh, and this recipe takes about 5 minutes. Seriously!
Here’s what you need…
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. green grapes
1/2 lemon
1 package cherry Jell-o (3 oz.)
1 package orange Jell-o (3 oz.)
1 package lemon Jell-o (3 oz.)
1 package lime Jell-o (3 oz.)
Directions:
Place each Jell-o flavor in a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag. Set aside.
Remove grapes from stems and rinse in a colander, shaking the colander to remove any excess water (grapes should be damp, not dripping wet). Spritz with lemon juice, tossing the grapes to lightly coat them.
Place a handful in each bag, sealing and shaking to coat.
Remove from resealable bags, plate and serve.

Sounds like a fun project if you have kids. My own Kid probably would’ve loved these – she’s always been into sour stuff. Not for me, though. My jaws ache just thinking about super sour stuff.
I’m not that much on sour either, even though I like limes in my Diet Coke. And grapes aren’t my favorite fruit but this just sounded fun and different and semi-healthy. 😆
