If you are a professional writer, which is worse? Deadlines, or not having them? When I mess up my scheduling and find myself embroiled in back-to-back-to-back projects, I moan and groan but deep down, I have to admit I’m glad to be a WORKING author. Still, I REALLY need to learn to check a calendar and count days. 😆
Now, being a working writer I’m always looking for inspiration and when this tidbit from the Universe crossed my desk, I had to lock Iffy in her closet. Sounds like the basis for a contemporary romance series, right? Yeah. Iffy thinks so too. And NO! I will not be writing this one but if any of you get the urge, go for it! You’re welcome!
Before this odyssey ever began, Silver, there was you, your best friends, and wide-eyed curiosity among you about who would be the first to leap, the first to forget, the first to kiss, the first to tell, the first to fall, the first to get back up, and the first to remember that it all began with a dare: to love in spite of it all.
Is that you, Mergatroid?
The Universe
© http://www.tut.com ®I remember the glint in your eyes, Silver… all three of them.
I had to laugh at the “PS” because my inner eye is napping at the moment. And if you’re too young to remember the phrase “Heaven’s to Mergatroid,” go look it up. 😉
Yep, definitely need deadlines to keep me on track. Otherwise, I wander and get lazy and get all ‘whatever’. Best feeling ever when I hit a deadline. Okay, a little less best than coming in early.
I remember Heavens to Mergatroid, but I can’t think of who said it now. My brain is fried after yesterday’s marathon edits. Derpy derp derp.
That would be Snagglepuss from the Yogi the Bear cartoons. 😉 And hitting a deadline early? *fist pumps*
