Falling for Monday

Dear US Government–Will somebody PLEASE end the insanity that is Daylight Savings Time? Sincerely, Me. *yawn* … *guzzles coffee*

In other news, there is not much news. πŸ˜† Well…I did have a new book release last week. Sales are…eh. That’s okay. I love the world of Penumbra and all the characters who live there. I’d be writing there even if no one bought a copy. Now I’m back to work on Tucker’s story for Red Dirt Royalty. I’m also doing National Novel Writing Month. Lots of motivation to get it done. Then…not sure of the next project. There’s several hanging fire.

Reading: I finished off Dannika Dark’s Crossbreed series on audio books. I ended up buying the middle book. I’d put holds on all three from the library. Got the first one. Got the third one. Kept waiting on the second. I had an extra Audible credit so I broke down and used it. I’ll end up with Kindle and audio versions of my own eventually. I liked it. Interesting urban fantasy world, a troublesome heroine, and a damaged hero, plus damaged secondary characters who are coming together to do good and make a family. That stuff is my catnip. Now I’m falling back on rereads. I’m working my way through Joanna Wylde’s MC series. This is my 3rd time through. What can I say? I mean, I’ve reread JD Robb’s In Death series like 8 times.

Sports: Astros won the Series in seven incredible games. This really was a historic series with some damn good baseball. I’m glad the ‘Stros won but I wouldn’t have been disappointed if the Dodgers won. It’s how many days until pitcher/catcher? *goes to check* ONE HUNDRED DAYS!!! In other sports, this past weekend was Bedlam. That’s the in-state rivalry between OSU and OU. It was a shoot-out. Final score was 62-52, with OU coming out on top. :/ Ah well. Next year. The really good news is, the fake OSU (Ohio State) was beaten by unranked Iowa!

TV: Writing life has been crazy so I’m back to catching favorite shows on the DVR, which are stacking up. First, World Serious! Second…book release. Third…tired. Fourth…books on audio. πŸ˜† So, yesterday, I caught up on Dancing With the Stars. I’ll admit to zipping through to the couples I care about. There’s been some surprises. And on Friday and Saturday, I’ve got Live PD. I’m hooked. What can I say? The new shows I had hopes for didn’t really pan out. And there’s Lucifer. Still love that devil. πŸ˜‰

Okay, it’s the Monday after DST and time to get my brain engaged. These NaNoWriMo words aren’t going to write themselves. What’s on your Monday agenday? And more importantly, have your biorhythms adapted to the evil? πŸ˜‰

[Edit] This was written before the events of yesterday afternoon. My heart goes out to the people of Sutherland Springs.

  1. Messing with the social construct of time is evil. I’m so messed up. Blerg. The Sound of Silence was made of awesome and everyone should read it. Jus’ sayin’. LOL about the number of days until next baseball season. Yeah, since we aren’t watching football anymore, and we’ve never watched basketball or hockey, our sports are over until Spring when baseball and golf come back. We did note the Buckeye loss and the Penn State loss, though. Hehe. Okay, I started watching Live PD. It’s good in the background when I’m reading and for a filler because I don’t have to pay 100% attention to it.

Today’s agenda? Reading and genealogy. Some work. Maybe fishing, since it’s all gray and gloomy today. And no, my biorhythms have NOT adapted. Ugh.

Got something to say?
