Long four-day weekend for a lot of people. Who did the whole Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and are now doing Cyber Monday thing? Yeah, me neither. I did get some work done and then I hit a mental block and spent Saturday and Sunday staring at the last chapter. Sucks. So, my week in review…
Writing…yeah. Road block. Two days of staring. A couple of audio books to hide in. Procrastination. Today. I’ll knock that sucker out today. Or else.
Thanksgiving was laid back. Baseball Boy did a turkey breast. We brought bread and pumpkin pie. T-giving went straight to the best part–turkey sandwiches. Yum, yum. Oh, and I splurged on a Fields Pecan Pie. They’re made down at Ardmore, OK and They. Are. To. Die. For!
Sports: OU and OSU both one. There were upsets. Tuesday’s standings for the college playoffs will be interesting.
TV: Live PD for the win! That and a few Hallmark movies. It’s still the season.
Reading: Okay, listening. I’ve discovered Suzanne Wright’s shifter series The Phoenix Pack and The Mercury Pack. They’re free on my Kindle Unlimited subscription to both read and listen. They’re a bit formulaic but the heroines are strong and usually funny, the heroes are alphas, the sex is down and dirty, and there’s a lot of action. There might be some triggers so if you check them out, be aware. I’m enjoying them.
And now…that blank white is still staring at me. That’s my goal this week–finish the last chapter and epilogue, plus edits. I have four days until the end of the month and that’s my self-imposed deadline to send it back to NY. Off to work! Drop a comment to let me know how your world is spinning. 🙂
Must be that time of the year – for stalled writing, doncha know. Bleh. We did the whole turkey thing. With tons of leftovers. I made a turkey pot pie last night. So much yum. We’ll be eating turkey in some form for a while. And I froze the carcass for soup later this week… err, or next week. Depends on my motivation or lack thereof.
Other than that, not much going on in my world. Reading, fishing, TV. The usual.
I really like turkey so I’ve never minded leftovers. Kinda sad I didn’t have any this year. Today’s supposed to be gorgeous so I’d go stand on the bank of the lake if I were you. Me? I’m gonna get this last chapter done or else! And then I get to hard edit and cut words because I’ll be pushing right up against my top-end word count. To work! But first…coffee. 😉
