Christmas is coming. And Hanukkah. The Winter Solstice. Kwanzaa. The weather feels more like winter in Florida though we’re supposed to get a cool snap starting tonight. I’m ready for some seasonal weather. I miss snow. Crazy, I know, because I gritch about it starting the second day it’s on the ground. Whatever. I’ve bought a box of Christmas cards. I’ll get them addressed and mailed soon. Maybe. So…anyway…
Football! Of the collegiate variety. (I don’t pay attention to the NFL because…reasons.) Anyway, OU is #2 in the playoff rankings and will play #3 Georgia in the Rose Bowl. Go Big Red! #17 OSU (The REAL OSU) plays #22 Virginia Tech in the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando on December 28th. GO POKES! If your team is playing in a post season bowl game, Play On!
Writing! I typed THE END to Tucker’s story, which is tentatively titled THE BILLIONAIRE’S BABY CAPER. It came in at just over 50K after some last minute edit/rewrites/deleting. I need to edit hard this week to get it around 48K so I have room to fix things my editor finds. Up next writing wise is the proposal for Cooper’s book, THE TYCOON’S TORNADO TWINS. Then it’s on to other things. Not sure what things but…things.
TV! Hallmark movies. What can I say? Sh’up. I know. And yes, I keep the box of Kleenex handy because I’m a sucker for this
Reading! Or…listening. I’ve started a couple of MC books I downloaded from Audible on their Romance subscription. I’d started one back in the beginning but DNF’d it. The one I’m currently listening to is RAVAGE ME by Ryan Mischele, book 1 in the Ravage MC series. I like both narrators a lot so I’m hanging in there. The story is…well…we’ll see how it goes. I’m about halfway through and while I’m not compelled to listen to it while disregarding everything else, I do listen betwixt and between. I’ll see how it goes.
Christmas! I got the evergreen garland up on the front porch, along with the door wreath. I dusted the Christmas tree. I have to wait on the rest of the outdoor lights until the yard guy finishes blowing and bagging leaves. I line the flowerbeds with lights and that’s where the remaining leaves are piled up. I hope to get the mantel and dining room table done today. When I’ve had my fill of chopping words out of the MS. 😆
In the meantime, where are y’all in your shopping, decorating, baking, addressing, Christmas preparations?
