I wish I could say I was emersed in my writing and forgot to set up this post yesterday, which is what I normally do. I try to be organized and stay a day ahead. The operative word is try. I’ll admit to being pretty bummed by the world of late. I see adults acting like spoiled toddlers–and don’t put words or sides into my mouth because most of you don’t know me well enough to know what I truly think. There’s enough to go around, trust me. There are times I want to lash back and tell people what I truly think, but then I realize that I’m not helping to solve the problem, I’m adding to it. Civility. We need more of it. So I’ll continue to keep my mouth shut because the Universe has it right once again.
Silver, you’re the only person who knows what’s right for you.
The only one –
The Universe

I do know what’s right for me. Most of the time. And if I’m waffling, I’ll wait. There are some things that I know without a doubt. I know right from wrong. And I know it’s right to bite my tongue and let the stupid people be stupid without my comments. That doesn’t necessarily make me awesome but hey, who am I to argue with the Universe, right?
Sing it. Yeah, sometimes my mouth ought to be bloody from biting my tongue so hard metaphorically. But I keep it reined in. I have to. I was raised to be nice and if I couldn’t be nice, be civil. And I added in that if I couldn’t be civil, I’d be quiet.
And I’m with the Universe. You’re awesome. =o)
Aw thanks. Some days, maybe. And yeah, I was raised the same way. People need to shut their mouths and engage their brains. And then think about how their words will affect those around them, whether they like them or not. When did civility become extinct?
