Time is of the essence. Time flies. Time is money. All in good time. Third time’s the charm. Time will tell. With deadlines looming, and me running out of time, time has become precious. And then the Universe slaps me up side the head with this:
Sometimes, Silver, when things take longer than you thought they would, it’s just a gentle reminder that you have more time than you thought—and that there’s a journey to enjoy.
Yeah, like all the time in the world.
Enjoy every minute,
The Universe

I nudged UNDER THE ASSASSIN’S MOON right up against the deadline. Which put me behind on my next deadline. But I did finish it in the nick of time and you know what? I needed that time to write the book right. Stuff did happen, stuff that needed more words, more thought. And that’s okay. I’ve learned to pay attention to the words, to the time it take for a book to take shape, for the characters to settle into their skin. And with some nudges from the Universe and a friend, I took the time for that to happen. I think the book is better for it. I’ll find out after the 21st, once it’s released into the wild. So how do you spend your time? Do you spend it wisely? Or do you take time to smell the roses? 😉
Growing up we think we have plenty of time to do everything. In 4 1/2 months 2019 will be a page turn away. Where did 2018 go?
Did I use my time wisely, Hell No!!! And it shows in the day job, my life and my writing.
I can’t get the time back, but I can learn from what happened. Make the time and moments count more.
My mantra right now is Life is too short and you need to enjoy the time with family, friends and all that you are passionate about.
Have a great day, Lady.
Right back at’cha, doll! You nailed it with this comment!
Time? Well, I seem to be running a day off this week. My time management skills are almost non-existent. Next week, I’ll be pushing to get Sleeping Ugly finished, formatted, and uploaded for publication, so I’ll be a madwoman. If I was better at managing my time, I’d be golden. But I’m smelling too many roses, I guess. And I’m scatterbrained at the moment, if you couldn’t already tell.
Know the feeling well, m’friend! And starting today, my rose-smelling schedule will be curtailed. Time to face the next hurdle and figure out if I can get up the speed to jump over it or if I’m just going to plow through it and hope for the best. 😉
