So, in a brief recap of the week that was…It was a week. So here’s some random stuff.
On the writing front…yeah…not much got done. Hangover from getting UNDER THE ASSASSIN’S MOON finished. As y’all probably know, it’s up for preorder. Just click on the cover over there on the right side if you want to add it to your Amazon cart. Or, if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can wait until the 21st, download it, and read it that way. Either way, thanks! This week, I have to get into Red Dirt headspace. Or else.
On the sports front, my Cardinals are playing better so that’s a yay. Both OU’s and OSU’s former quarterbacks now with the NFL had good preseason games Thursday night. Too bad the NFL players are still pissin’ me off so I won’t be watching for a second year. Ah well. That’s what recaps are for, right?
I’m continuing my re-listen to Jennifer Ashley’s Shifter Unbound series. I’m not keeping track of them on Goodreads because I just listened to them in March. It’s a different take on shifters and I enjoy Ashley’s voice. I’m just killing a little reading/listening time until the end of the month when Ilona Andrews’ MAGIC TRIUMPHS releases. It’s to be the culmination of the Kate Daniels series, which gives me a big ol’ sad!
In WTF? News:
There was a giant boa constrictor loose in my neighborhood. The first we knew of it was when the darn thing got found. Luckily, a looooong way from here. Lawyer Guy is not fond of snakes. And there are weapons in the house.
Railroad police in Chicago used a bait truck in a neighborhood where there had been lots of thefts from their railyard. Local neighborhood activists are all up in arms because how dare the police put the temptation of high-end shoes (Nikes and Loubotins) in a LOCKED truck in their neighborhood to entice the populice to break into the LOCKED truck to see what was inside, then steal said high-end merhandise. Because, you know, it’s OKAY to break into a LOCKED truck and steal stuff. I mean…seriously?
And on that note, it’s time to get on with my day. How was your weekend?
