Woke up to the news that another police officer had been shot. A 14 year-old girl was stabbed by a 14 year-old boy during a first-day-of-school assembly. In addition to guns and knives, the mayor of London now wants to ban cars. The Canadian Parliament wants a border fence because Canada is having problems similiar to those here in the US. And the governor of New York believes America has never been that great of a place. This song immediately came to mind, and it’s sort of the mood I’m in today. But it’s Friday and there’s a weekend coming and the world hasn’t completely imploded. S’all good, right?
Like I joke to Hubs, you’ve got to stop reading the news. It’s all bad. Except when it’s good. Like the local exotic animal rescue raised almost $4K with its latest fundraiser (pay a dollar to vote for new names for the servals they recently rescued.) Or when the nearby animal shelter posts all the animals that got adopted the previous week.
And yes, it is a mad world. :hugs:
I look for the good news too. And that’s awesome about naming the servals and adoptions. Woot-woot!
