Thursday Thoughts: Universal Soul

You know, there’s not much to say here. I mean, think about it. The Universe has pretty much boiled it down. Lead. Follow. Or get out of the way.

Baby souls follow.

Young souls lead.

But old souls, Silver, are just as happy to dance alone.

Not that I’m spying on you,

Silver, your wisdom is showing.

The thing is, sometimes even old souls don’t have sense enough to get out of their own way. They can get wrapped around the axle just as easily as the young and dumb. We like to think that with age comes wisdom, but I promise…that’s not always true. Still, maybe I’ll go dance a little jig when no one is around. S’gotta be better than sitting around like a lump wondering WTF?, right? And who knows, maybe that jig will become a conga line and all my WIPs will line up and dance with me. Sounds like a plan to me. What about y’all? Where are you on the universal scale?

  1. Since I don’t want to lead or follow, I guess I’m an old soul. And yes, sometimes we don’t have enough sense to get out of our own way. ‘Wrapped around the axle’… I like that. I’ve been wrapped around the axle too much lately. Being out in the woods and throwing logs has helped some. I’m getting unwrapped. A little. I think. Time will tell.

Yeah, I thought it apropos. 😆 I really need to get my “car” up on a lift, find a set of massive wire cutters and get all the detritus cut away from my axle so I can get out of neutral. Speaking of, I really need to check the roller on the vacuum cleaner because LG ran it last and he never checks for dog hair/carpet threads getting wrapped around it. Burns out a belt faster than anything. 😉

Maybe I should go find some logs to chunk….

Got something to say?
