Guess what!?! I write romance novels! Big secret, right? *falls over laughing* Well, I sometimes write romance. At the moment, I’m not writing much of anything. Every page I write is worse that slogging through a field of swamp mud during monsoon season. And while the Universe is probably talking about interpersonal relatiolnships, and the quote below relates perfectly for every romance ever written, I’m taking it a different way. I used to love writing. Characters and their stories came easy. The words flowed. And then…nada. I wake up dreading “going to work.” Of course, in my case, that means schlepping from the bedroom through the kitchen for coffee, a short walk through the breakfast nook, a short walk and voilà, I’m at work.
Sadly, I’m not the only writer facing this dilemma. I’d say it was something in the water but the authors I know who are in the same frame of mind are scattered all over the place. Is there a planet that rules muses and creative types? Is it in retrograde? The thing is, I need to remember why I started writing in the first place. I need to love my stories again. Love stringing words together. Love everything about creating something out of what’s swirling in my head. I’m working on it. I still have stories to tell, characters to introduce to my readers, words to share. So…according to the Big U…
To be loved like you’ve never been loved, Silver, you must love like you’ve never loved.

And I say we start with loving Mondays, Silver, even more.
Yeah, that ain’t never gonna happen, even though “Monday” is relative in my life these days. 😉 But I am going to love my words, my characters, my stories, and getting up in the morning and coming to work. Starting today. What are you going to love?
