Friday Sinema: Falling in Love with a Devil

Interesting what pops up when I plug in a search term on YouTube. “Being Bad” got me this video (newly released) by Avril Lavigne. I have no idea why but I’m glad it did. There’s just something abuot her voice that always catches my attention. Add in an intriguing title and a video to match? Inspiration! If this song doesn’t end up on a Penumbra Papers (Sade and Sinjen) playlist, then it might just be the inspiration I need to restart an old project–a “gas light” historical paranormal that’s sort of Dracula meets Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Only in England. πŸ˜‚ Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I can totally see that song on a Penumbra playlist. And it would go good for the premise you described, too. I hope you get to write that one someday. I’d totally squee over it.

    Totally.

Time and perseverence. I need both. πŸ˜‚ First, I have the next Sade and Sinjen book, then Wizard’s story in Nightriders, a book set one of Susan Stoker’s worlds (with a tie-in to Moonstruck), revisions and another RDR book, and I’ve had people asking for another Hard Target. I need to stop dilly-dallying and start doing a NaNoWriMo ever month! 😜 Just thinking about it makes my head explode. 🀯Then I freak out. 😱 And then I’m exhausted. 😩 I will get it all done. So many ideas. So little time…

Got something to say?
