Friday Sinema: Robocalls

Nothing funny or musical or sexy today. Today’s video is all about hope for tomorrow and why one young man like Easton gives me that. THIS is why I want to win the lottery, so I can set up the Just Because Foundation, so when I see something like this, I can help finance it. If there was a Just Because Foundation, who or what would you nominate to receive a grant?

Have a great weekend! It’s pancakes and siren test for me tomorrow, work on Sunday.

  1. I think your Just Because Foundation is an excellent idea. I would like to set up a grant process for struggling authors – good storytellers who’ve put in the time honing their craft but who’ve been battered by the traditional publishing process so much they’ve given up (or are on the verge of it). The money would go toward helping them with costly things like editing and cover art and marketing so they could self-publish without worrying whether they’ll make the car payment or eat that month.

I hear that! If I won a BIG lottery, I’d set up my own publishing company. Not that I’d run it! 🀣 Nope. I’d hire people who knew how and it’s whole purpose would be to publish me and those indie authors I love to read plus finding and supporting those undiscovered jewels. But the Just Because would also do things like…well, there was a high school band going to appear in a parade and their bus caught on fire, destroying their instruments and uniforms. I want to see a newstory like that and just write a check to cover replacement costs. So yeah. If/when, you wanna administer the writers grant board? πŸ˜‰

Got something to say?
