ROFL… Yessir, ma’am is a thing. And yes, I remember the first time I got called ‘ma’am’. I was horrified. I was only in my 30’s for pitysakes. But that was up in Michigan where ma’am isn’t quite as accepted as down here. (Although, from some of the stuff they’ve posted, Missouri isn’t technically ‘in the south’. Except I’m in south Missouri and close enough to Arkansas to consider myself Arkansas-lite, so there.)
And I don’t use sweetie. I say ‘darlin’. As in “can I help you find somethin’, darlin?’ when I’m at the Wallyworld and I see someone looking confused and lost.
Stay safe and stay warm over there. This weather is gonna suck. :hugs:
See? You’ve adapted to our ways. *bwahaha* The Southern Momma Master Plan is working. 😉 There’s a bit of magic in Southern Charm. I need to see if they did a video on “bless your/her/his heart.” 🤣
Also, we call Texas “Baja Oklahoma.” Just sayin’… 😉
Reading this was just lovely 🙂
