Good grief. After today, there’s STILL another Mopnday in this month. Also, I’m still all messed up over DST. I woke up yesterday morning to the chirpy weatherman announcing the 6 o’clock weather report and stating that we still had another hour and a half of darkness before sunrise. My brain translated that as, “WTF? That means it’s actually 5 a.m. Why are we effing awake?!?” Good question brain. Keeping fingers crossed that THIS is the year Congress stops doing stupid $h!+ and actually does something productive. We are talking about Congress so not holding my breath. Still, plenty of time to sit in the dark, drinking coffee and contemplating the mysteries of life.

Happy Official Birthday to Stormy. He’s Lucky Seven this year. The kid is way too smart and tall and sweet. Why yes, he does take after Only, why do you ask? 😉

I’m watching a bit more TV–beyond the odd stuff I usually watch like Strange Evidence, What on Earth?, Paranormal Caught on Camera, etc. The Masked Singer is back. I totally correctly guessed last week’s unmaskng–Kaitlyn Jenner. Who referred to herself as “Dad” when talking about her kids. Yeah, a little trouble wrapping my head around that one. She was the Phoenix and that costume was all kinds of awesome and her singing was way better than mine. Old/new show premiering this week. Thursday night, Night Watch returns. They are back in New Orleans, five years after the first show aired. Wow. Time surely flies. One of my favorite paramedics on the show, Holly, is now an LT and supervises rather than riding one of the boxes. A few oldies are still around but a shiny-new cast added to the gumbo. I know. I’m weird.

I’m doing a marathon re-listen of a favorite series, Jayne Castle/Jayne Ann Krentz’s Harmony/Ghost Hungers series. Paranormal SciFi Romantic Suspense. What’s not to love?

In sports news, my Cardinals are doing well in Spring Training. Only 10 more days until Opening Day! Also my OSU Cowgirls are still either 5th or 8th, depending on the poll, and OU remains #1. The Cowboys are #14 in baseball. Also, all 3 Oklahoma teams–OSU, OU, and ORU–cleared the first round of March Madness. They weren’t supposed to. In fact, 15th seed ORU knocked out that other OSU (Ohio State) that was a 2nd seed, so you can bet I was dancing a victory dance in their honor. For those of you with money on a bracket? Sorry–not sorry.

Despite the odds, I did get some new words written, despite falling down several rabbit holes. The March Hare and I are BFFs now. Google street view is not my friend. I shouldn’t admit that I’ve “driven” to all the places in Paris that Sade’s visited in this book. I know. I know. Still, authenticity! The last time I was in Paris, it was 1968 and not too long after the student riots. As wide-eyed high school students, we didn’t get out and about all that much as a result. Anyway, I need to get this book finished, to the editor, and get ideas to Only for the cover. I got a bunch of projects this year. Procrastinaton and recalcitrant characters are not my friends.

On that note, I’m done here. More coffee, a bit more dark left, and then work. I really am closer to finishing the book than my brain thinks I am. How was your weekend? Productive? Lazy? A mix of both? Oh, Happy Spring, which officiallly started on Saturday.
