Friday Sinema: Soldier

I made the mistake of watching the news this week. There’s so much…ugly in the world right now. Sunday is the 4th of July. Here in the USA, we celebrate our freedoms and honor our founding fathers (and mothers) and the men and women who fought and sometimes gave their lives to perseve those freedoms. I came across this song (while watching the news so it wasn’t a total downer) and it will be in a future Penumbra Papers playlist. In the meantime, it has a message I’d like to pass along for this holiday weekend. Be safe and remember why everyone wants to come here…

  1. Good song. It definitely gave me the sniffles. The video? Gah, so many things to read and not enough time to read them. I need my glasses and a way to pause so none of the words are covered and they’re all legible.

Oh, the woes of a compulsive reader.

    Happy Independence Day, Silver! :hugs:

LOL. Yeah. I feel that pain. I listened to it and then went back and hit the play/pause button until I got most of the gist of it. I hate when a TV network runs a banner along the bottom of the screen while the show has captions running (like translations and such). Irritating even when I HAD good eyesight!

Got something to say?
