I grew up in the Southwest. Sweet and spicey is a standard combination in food. I also like jalepenos, cheese, and bacon. I mean, seriously, what’s not to find yummy there? I’d never thought about adding a little sweet to this particular favorite appetizer.

I do ❤ My Food and Family. Be sure to check out all the nutritional info for this recipe. I also happen to love Hawk Greenwood, the Choctaw hero of RESCUE MOON, likes his snacks sweet and spicy, just like his mate, anthropoligist Dana Peterson. The Special Operations soldier goes south of the border to rescue the woman destined to be his. If you haven’t indulged in this stand-alone (even though there are cameos by other Wolves), just click on the cover or the title. It’s free to read with Kindle Unlimited. Dana’s gotten quite adept at whipping up a big batch of these whenever Hawk’s favorite team is playing on TV. 😉 Question of the day: Your favorite sport and favorite team?
Oh, those do sound yummy. But yeah, 2 per serving? Who are they kidding? Eighteen bites makes like 3-4 servings for regular people and a half a serving for a Wolf. Can you imagine inviting 9 people over to watch the game and setting a plate of those out? “You can only have two.” I don’t think so. (Of course, I don’t know 9 people I could invite over, but you know what I mean.)
As always, I LOVE this book. And you really give all your characters extra life with these Tuesday posts. And to answer your question, about the only sports I watch anymore are golf and baseball. Of course, with the Olympics starting on Friday, I’ll be wrapped up in those. Woohoo.
I’m betting the apricot jam takes some of the “bite” out of the jalepenos and makes for an intersting blend. And yeah, I’d have to invite some of the extended in-law family with significant others to get 9. LOL I know that many people but wanting them in my house to feed and watch a game? Nope! 😉
I’m pretty much just baseball–softball when it’s on. I’ll be trying to catch the softball (since it’s finally back in the Olympics) and some of the equestrian events. I guess I should find a schedule on-line somewhere. 🙄
And thanks. I’m always trying to “humanize” the folks who live in my head.
