Friday Sinema: Thanksgiving, Southern Style

I hope everyone had a safe, sane, and enjoyable Thanksgiving, no matter how you celebrated. The folks at It’s a Southern Thing are at it again, and I’m pretty sure everyone will find at least once thing to identify with in this video. If you’re headed out for Black Friday shopping, good luck out there. Me? I’m just gonna stay in where it’s warm, do some work, and debate whether I should snatch the last piece of leftover pecan pie or be nice and let LG have it…TGIF and have a happy weekend!

  1. :gigglesnort: Those folks slay me. And let me just say how nice it is to not have to deal with any of that.

For some reason, the turkey was done an hour earlier than it should have been, so we ate at like 11. Cheesecake followed at about 2. Tiny turkey sandwiches at 5. We watched a cute movie – Wild America, about Marty Stauffer and his brothers when they were young – and then ;yawn: we were in bed by 8. All in all, a good day.

Sounds like a perfect day. And they totally nailed it! (There were 20 people at the BiLs. It was an…interesting array of dishes. I pretty much kept my head down and ate little. Long story! However, I have a little turkey breast roast to stick in the oven so we can get sandwiches. We got home about 3:30, I was in bed and sleeping by 4:30, woke up at 8. Asleep again by midnight and awake and 4. It’s ok. I’m actually awake today. LOLOL
