The Ukrainian people have adopted this Twisted Sister rock anthem as their unoffice battle cry. The band’s Dee Snider has endorsed it’s use. I just hope the world finds some balls and will finally stand up to the Putin regime and others of his ilk. I just wish I could do more. My senators and reps know what needs to be done. I’ve donated money. I’m too old to go fight or even help with the refugees, even though have the training and talent to do so. It’s frustrating to sit on the sidelines and just hope and pray something is done before it’s too late. Anyway, I’ll be singing this at the top of lungs while giving Putin the double birds.

Don’t you wonder how many people actually get that reference? And while the remake is likely more accurate given current events, the original still has a big spot reserved in my heart!
I haven’t watched the remake. And I hadn’t wondered whether people get the reference… until now LOL. Truth be told, when I first heard it, I was wondering what the U of M mascot had to do with anything, especially since the movie wasn’t set in Michigan. But I was young. Derp.
LOL! Both were set in Colorado. The remake starred Chris Hemsworth (in the Patrick Swayze role) and Jeffery Dean Stanton whose a fav, and it’s the Chinese rather than the Russians. Now I want to watch the original!
