Friday Sinema: Tulsa Town

I’ll admit, I’m a bit intrigued by this upcoming Paramount+ series. Stallone often entertains me and the fact that it is set in Tulsa, just up the turnpike from where I live, and was filmed there and down here. In fact, some of the filming ocurred about six blocks from my house. I’d drive by and see all the trailers and stuff. I considered going to a casting call for extras and then remembered that I’d been there done that and it means a lot of sitting around doing nothing and then doing the same exact thing like ten times in a row. I’m too old and impatient these days. Anyway, here’s the official trailer. I’ll be watching just to pick out familiar locales and to see if I recognize any of the minor (and locally hired) actors and extras. Fun times in November. Have a great weekend!

  1. I’ve seen the commercials for that and it looks fun. But I don’t do + on anything, so I won’t be watching. My favorite Stallone movie is Demolition Man. He’s good at ‘tinge of humor’ things, so this series ought to be right in his wheelhouse. Have fun with it!

Sadly, only the first two episodes will be shown on the normal Paramount cable channel. I really think that’s a mistake on their part but what do I know about it, right? I love Stallone’s sly sense of humor (no pun intended!) and this show appears to be full of it so the writers did well. We’ll see how long it holds my attention. LOL

FYI, the streaming services drive me crazy because I have to do all sorts of weird stuff to the TV to get them to work and normall only reserve the frustration for things like OSU softball games which are on ESPN3, but I can also watch them on my computer so there’s that.

      Have a great weekend!
