Baby, it’s not just cold outside, it is FRIGID!!! This is me —> š„¶. I’m in my fuzzy jammies, clutching my cup of hot coffee and wrapped in a fleece blanket typing this. If it snowed and looked pretty oustide, I might not be so grouchy. As it is, the older I get, the more I dislike the cold. That said, we are now three days away from Christmas and just over a week from the new year. Wow. Where has the time gone?!?! If I’d stopped to think about it, I would have save this little message from the Universe for next Thursday because everyone knows you kiss for good luck when the clock chimes midnight, the ball drops, the fireworks go off and the New Year rolls in all full of promise and stuff. Not that I’m a cynic or anything. Actually I’m not. Cynical. Usually. Hey, it’s almost Christmas. And things are going okay. And with luck, I’ll be writing a kissing scene today, which is why the Universe hit me with this…
As is true of kissing, Silver, let your life know both spontaneity and thoughtfulness.
Mwah!
The Universe
©www.tut.comActually, Silver, your entire life is like one very long, very sweet kiss.
See? I’mĀ notĀ cynical. Because I happen to think this can be true. We’ve gotten past the longest night, spring isn’tĀ thatĀ far off, I have books to write and books to listen too and I’m warm and cozy with my favorite brand of coffee. I’m all about spontaneity and thoughtfulness. Life is good. All is right–and write–in my world. What about y’all? How’re things in your world?
Pssst.Ā Good thing I write romance, huh? š
It’s a very good thing you write. ;o)
I’m sitting here watching the weather and wondering whether I should try going into the office or just say ‘F- it’. It’s fine right now, but it’s supposed to get wet and then get really cold, and I am not a fan of getting trapped at the office or getting stuck on the roads. However, I’m also not a fan of short paychecks. Decisions decisions. ;o)
Thank you. Glad you liked the story. And yeah. Only is supposed to go in today but I hope she can “telecommute.” We have freezing drizzle and snow with 50 mph winds and it’s a whopping 5 degrees real temp. Ugh. Our weather guru says it’s gonna be worse for you guys–NE part of OK and moving N and E with heavier snow, wind, and the temps that give you hypothermia in 30 minutes. Dress warm, have an emergency kit in your car and go slow! People here are having to stop on the shoulder of the interstates to scrape the ice off the windows. Wipers and defrosters aren’t keeping up.
Stay safe! ā¤
I was at the office for an hour and a half. There was a layer of ice on the car and the roads were starting to freeze. Home now and all is well.
And yes, I do have an emergency kit in the car and I went sloooow. As for dressing warm, picture Ralphie’s little brother on A Christmas Story. LOL
𤣠Layers are good! And glad you are home. I take the boss said, “Take off”? Which means I hope they don’t dock your pay. Even though, that’s cheaper than being in a wreck or getting stranded! The last report I saw from up around Tulsa (moving your way), it was UGLY! Stay warm and enjoy!!!
