April is halfway over on this our third Monday of the month.
Am I the only one who finds the Progressive Tv Dad commercials irritating? Inquiring minds want to know.
Saturday was a bad day for soccer. Stormy had a great game but it was chilly with a north wind and most of his team just wanted to get warm. My OSU Cowgirls dropped from #2 to #3 due to their loss against Wichita State. That was a heckava game but sadly, the Cowgirls lost. Some other top teams also took losses so maybe my Pokes will move back up. Right now, all that matters is that they are in the top 8 so they get a regional and a superregional in the play-offs. Sadly, my Cardinals are struggling. Ah well. It’s early in the season.
My new prescription glasses will hopefully be here this week. My appointment was this past Thursday and the on-site opital shop said 7-10 business days. They were free so…yeah. I’ll wait on them.
That swaid, I did a little writing and managed an honorable memtion on #ThursdayThreads flash fiction challenge. They’ll be posted Wednesday.
On the other hand, who laughs at the Progressive “wrong turn” commercial? “Four kinds of jerky? This is where I live now,” said with great wonder.
LG and I are still dragging a little but we are substantially better. Still have runny noses but that’s also partly due to the season. Ah, allergies. Cureently, it’s dust and golden oak pollen. Yippee.
The 18th (which is weird but because the 15th was a Saturday or something, the tax deadline got set back three days) is tomorrow. Everyone here in the US get their taxes done? No refunds for us, but we didn’t owe any either so it’s a wash.
Last week, the weather was very spring-like. Saturday turned cold, and so far this week, it’s back to spring. Mother Nature is still not happy. Or still drinking. One or the other. I appreciate no AC OR heating bills for now.
On that note, I’m off to Wallyworld. I’m thinking maybe soft tacos for dinner. I think I already have everything I need. I’d planned on them for last week but stuff happened. LOL So that’s our question for the day. Do you plan your meals ahead and shop accordingly or are you a seat-of-your-pants cook? Have a great week.
Glad I’m not alone. I find the progressive ads annoying and undermining parental rules.
I have a mixed reaction. Most of them just annoy but every once in awhile, one comes along that makes me giggle. And then there are the Subaru Dog Approved ads. I ❤ ❤ ❤ them! Advertising is a funny business. No pun intended. LOL
