I will get off my arse and get something writerly done. Stop laughing. I’m serious! That’s my Monday Mandate!

I’ve already been to Wallyworld for the week. I have no excuse. I went yesterday because Stormy is out of school but his dad has summer school or something this week.

Softball! There’s been a ton of it and more this week as we head toward the WCWS finals starting Wednesday. As of my typing and setting this to post, OSU was still in it. They had to beat Tennessee last night to stay in it. And then they have to beat Florida State twice to move on to the finals. Not sure my heart can take much more. No, I won’t update this because…jinx and stuff.

We’ve had rain. We’re still in a drought but it’s not as extreme as it was two weeks ago. I have absolutely NOTHING agaist rain, except when it delays softball games. Yeah, yeah. I know.

I finished up the Sunshine Vicram trilogy by Darynda Jones. I 💖 the characters, story line, and setting. And the snark. And all the feels. Check out A BAD DAY FOR SUNSHINE, A GOOD DAY FOR CHARDONNAY, and A HARD DAY FOR A HANGOVER. The various character growth arcs, the individual story arcs, and the overall plot arc are masterfully done. There’s lots of action, humor, and snark. Which I’ve mentioned before. Not sure what I’m picking up next. There’s supposed to be some new audio releases in the Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series coming soon so maybe I’ll do another relisten there, even though I did one early this year. I’m curious as to how the original audio version compares with the graphic full-cast version so I might do MAGIC BITES (1st book) back-to-back to compare. It’s not like anything else out there is snatching my attention.
