Happy Friday the 13th. I’m not superstitious. At least not about today. Weird things happen to me on Friday the 13th but never bad stuff. And the weird stuff happened earlier when I “rediscovered” David Garrett. If you didn’t see Tuesday’s post, go back and check it out. Garrett, a violinist extraordinaire, is/was the inspiration for one of my favorite characters from early in my writing career–the Fae Harper Abhean in the Faerie Reign series. Add to that one of my favorite movie themes and we have this fun bit of Friday. Fun..What about y’all…Are you superstitious about today?

BOOK SERIES

I haven’t ever seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. However, I can totally see him as Abhean. He’s definitely got a bit of the Fae about him. It’s Friday the 13th, huh? I’m so messed up on my days of the week and I wouldn’t know the date if it wasn’t on the bottom corner of my monitor. (It doesn’t help that I’m still using my bird-a-day calendar from 2016 – which has today as a Tuesday. Cute spectacled owl for today, so yay.)
I’m totally short-attention span theatre today, so don’t mind me. :wanders off:
I’m that way on time. I’m usually pretty good on the days of the week and I realized it was Friday the 13th when I set up the post at the beginning of the week. LOL
You should watch the first one, at least. I’m not a big Depp fan but I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and the music is all kinds of awesome. I think I saw the second one and maybe parts of the third…or maybe not. Anyway…
I also totally get the random attention span.
Squirrel!….
I’m not superstitious at all. When the kids were little we would go to the tack so they could see the horses. We seemed to be there on Friday the 13th a few times. Each time I won big ($2 bet – win $50). So Friday the 13th is my lucky day ☺️.
Have a great weekend!
That’s awesome! Yeah, black cats and the number 13 aren’t on my superstition radar either. In fact, I used to enjoy Friday the 13th because really cool–if slightly weird–stuff would happen. Like, I’d get a phone call or a letter from an old friend that I hadn’t thought about or communicated with in ages.
Cheers to great weekends!
