Mondaze

Where did last week and the weekend go? I mean, seriously.

I feel like I haven’t done anything. Except for being a lumpen. I’m good at being a lumpen.

In other news, my Cowgirls did pretty good but they are going to have to hustle to be in the Top 8 so they can get a Super Regional. I’d love to see them back at the Women’s College World Series. The Cowboys also mostly won, as did the Cardinals. No soccer. Called on account of weather.

Speaking of, we’ve had the weather. Several tornados in the state–not close to me. And rain. Lots and lots of rain. We needed it and need more. However, that led to flashflooding and sadly, to some deaths. Spring in Oklahoma.

I wrote a little. I edited a little. I mostly was a lumpen so there were books listened to. I’m currently on a Kristen Ashley kick. She’s not everyone’s cup of tea and her books are flavored with crazysauce gravy but in the right mood? Yeah, they can be catnip. Heck, one time in Denver for a writer’s conference, I ordered a Fat Tire beer because the brand plays a big part in her books. It was okay but I prefer my Harp.

Anyway, as mentioned–at least in my head–the hard part of April is done and I fully intend on climbing out of the hole this time of year always digs in my psyche. I feel lighter already. We’ll see what the week brings. What about y’all? What’s in your future?

Okay, time to kick the lumpen in the butt. You’re on the right track with the hard part of April being over. The rest of this month is gravy. Next month, you’ll kick butt. We both will. So let’s do it!

Yeah, that just about drained all the gumption out of me. :half-heartedly waves pompoms: I’m not sure what’s on the schedule for today. Lazing about in a toad-like fashion seems to be about all I’m good for this morning.

      I’ll bring the toadstools…
Okay, seriously. It’s 71 in my house, the windows are open, the fan is on, and I’m sweating. It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. 84%. Okay, so I’m not sweating, I’m condensating. 🤣 And yes, I’m gonna get right on stuff as soon as the noon news is over. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I wondered about you with the bad weather. I’m glad you’re okay.

We had a great deal of rain and flash flooding. I was very thankful for our working sump pump and back up pump. They never stopped for over 24 hours.

Today is beautiful and sunny. Tomorrow we’re supposed to get your bad weather and humidity. I’m not a fan.

In my future are my new washer and dryer. They are being delivered this coming Saturday. As always I’m worried that there will be delivery and installation problems. Things never seem to go smooth.

Other than that there is nothing big happening.

    Have a great day!

Good luck with the delivery and set up but yay on new washer and dryer! Also yay for the sump pump working as intended. We’re lucky because we’re mostly high ground and have sandy loam soil that sucks up water like a camel in the desert.

Hope you enjoyed your pretty day. Stay weather aware tomorrow. We’re getting more tonight. Yippee. Not. Still, spring in Okieland is what it is. LOL

      Have a great one!
