Happy Halloween! Does Storm still trick-or-treat? Do you still pass out candy? Halloween here is pretty boring with no kids stopping by. And Hubs isn’t into scary movies – neither am I except on Halloween – so none of that either. :sigh:
There were a few Halloweens where we left the lights off due to some really big kids trying to intimidate me into emptying the bowl. LG walked out doing the open carry thing and I lifted the side of my sweatshirt to show my own. They cussed us out but took off. After that, we realized there weren’t that many kids in the neighborhood. A few later, there are more “local” kids now so last year, we started handing out again. And yes, Stormy still tricks-r-treats. He stopped by with 2 of his friends and his parents in tow. One of his schoolmates now lives just a couple of blocks away. I’ve never been into scary movies. We watched the World Serious inbetween the kids.
Enjoy your little goblins!! I’ll just be happy when it’s all over and I can dive into that chocolate!! Our Trick or Treat was Saturday night, but you never know when you are going to get a few stragglers. I think there is a party somewhere tonight.
Always good to be prepared! Lots of churches and places around here to the trunk-r-treat thing, all in one place. Most folks go to those now. Works for me. We had probably 30 all total. Enough to dump most of the candy, keeping just a few pieces for us. LOL
I haven’t had even one for three or four years now. We used to get 15 to 20 before they started regulating things so much.
