So. Real Life is being contrary. I had every intention of being productive this week and then RL stepped up to the plate and kept laying down sacrifice bunts, flies, and yesterday, a home run. For the other side. I had a hunch on Monday that the best laid plans were not going to come to fruition. Today is Thursday. I have a hunch that things aren’t going to change. The Universe sort of agrees.
Hunches, instincts, and intuition are priceless, Silver, because they throw you into action.
Right?
The Universe
©www.tut.comP.S. They do throw you into action, Silver? Right??
Yeah, right, Big U. Action. I’ll get right on that once I figure out what action to take. For those not aware, LG’s truck caught fire yesterday morning. As he was driving at highway speeds on one of the interstate loops around the city. Luckily, an alert trucker signalled him and he managed to pull off onto the right of way. He and his passenger grabbed some stuff and got out after calling 911. Luckily, the nearest fire station was close by. They got the fire out before there was much damage to the exterior. Sadly, under the truck and the engine compartment? Not so much. I went to pick them up, we did some truck-related stuff, then LG dropped me off at home so he could get his buddy home. That’s a different story. Anyway. We’re waiting on the insurance company to decide if they’re going to repair the truck or total it. Yippee. And I have to people again today. So, my answer to the Universe is, “Yo, Universe! When are things gonna smooth out so I can do some positive action-type stuff? Huh? I’m waiting…”

Holy crap. Enough with the Universe chucking shit at you two. I mean, I’m glad LG and his friend are okay and everything, but the Big U needs to find nice things to give you both instead of this stream of crud. :HUGS:
Agreed but I’m sort of to the point of “whatever.” Life gets ugh sometimes. Trucks can be replaced. People can’t. *🫂 bacj*
I was so sorry to read this Silver. Thankful no one was hurt. That was a very unexpected “home run”.
Thanks. And yeah, I’m ready for my team to start scoring for a change. Stuff happens. Life goes on. 🤷🏼♀️
Hugs!
Yikes! It never rains but it pours. I hope today is better. And mostly, I’m glad no one was hurt.
Me too on all that. And for a Thursday–ie, a Wallyworld trip, it hasn’t been bad.
Oh, my. I am glad LG and his friend are okay. Hopefully, you’ll get good news from the insurance and life will start to go more smoothly for you sooner rather than later.
Thanks. I’m ready for the smooth for sure! As for the insurance, we can hope!
OMG! I am so very sorry to hear about LG’s truck. Thank God they are okay. Hopefully the insurance company will come through in the best way. But heck what a pain in the fanny to have to deal with.
Yuck on peopling. I hope it wasn’t too much of a pain.
I was fortunate for the 18 inches of snow that have fallen since 11:30 PM yesterday. I couldn’t people if I wanted to. C took the day off and was able to snow blow our drive once but it needs it again. Oh well. It’s super cold again too. Our high today is 17F. It is winter so I will keep a smile on my face.
Yup, the Universe has it right again. Sometimes the action is a little slow in coming but eventually happens.
I’m praying all went well today for you.
Holy carp! 18 INCHES! Hope y’all were prepared and all hunkered in warm and safe.. Today was okay. Not bad, not particular good. I’ll take neutral. Y’all be careful up there! 🤗
