Okie dokie, karaoke. This vid is bit (okay a lot!) longer than I usually post. Also, there might be interruptions for ads because…well…nothing is free anymore, not even YouTube. If an ad does crop up, simply wait a few seconds then look for the <skip ad> button on the lower right-hand side of screen and click it. As the old-timers know, I love dance. I love musicals. I love old movies. This video hits all my buttons. I would have assigned different places to a few of the scenes but for the most part, I agree with the selections. Chemistry indeed! 🫠 Have a great weekend, all!

BOOK SERIES

I’ve noticed that they have been skipping that “skip ad” notice on a lot of videos lately.
Yeah…it’s all about the money. 😝
I loved this. There is nothing like excellent dancing.
Have a great weekend!
Back in the day, I had two goals: to dance with Barishnikov AND Gene Kelly. The closest I got was a flamenco with Robert Conrad. LOL He was the host of a charity telethon and my dance troupe was part of the show. Someone called in to offer a large sum if he’d do a flamenco. This was back during his Wild, Wild West days and he was wearing the James West costume. He asked my dance instructor if any of us could flamenco and she pointed to me. I was 16 and he was totally swoon-worthy. 🤣🤣 We danced it well.
I am SO jealous. Robert Conrad was one of my biggest crushes. He was fantastic in Baa Baa Black Sheep too. And, every time his battery commercial came on, I’d say to the TV (with a teenage snark voice) that I’d gladly try and knock it off his shoulder.
LOL! He was a good Pappy Boyington. I’m gonna rub it in a little more. Not long after the end of BBBS, he was in Hawaii for another charity event, a celebrity softball game. I was there for an industry conference representing the family propane business. Jet lag is a thing and I was up way early sort of jogging on the beach. He came running up behind me and asked if I wanted to run with him. Like d’uh! I mentioned we’d met before, where and when. He laughed, wanted to know if I still danced. I didn’t at that point. I wasn’t. I was managing the propane co. and Dad and I were breeding quarterhorses. I was there a week. We jogged every morning and I had a VIP ticket to the softball game. He was truly one of the good guys. I was terribly sad when he passed.
That is amazing. Who would have thought you’d meet up again and in Hawaii🥰. I’m so happy that my image of him was spot on and that he really was a good guy.
He was every time I was around him, brief, but he seemed very real.
