I read a lot of books. Usually. I have to admit that I’m in a bit of a slump at the moment but that’s neither here nor there. Most of my books contain some form of mystery or suspense because that’s what I like to read. I also like the paranormal so I combine the two. But I’m not talking about my books at the moment. I’m talking about books I’ve read, the ones that have mystery or suspense or some form of surpise. I love it when I suddenly stop in the middle of listening (now–used to when reading), and think, I didn’t see that coming! Sadly, I’m often right on top of any twists or turns an author might present. That’s me. Lots of people are always surprised. The Universe popped in with this message:
When suddenly the unexpected happens, Silver, it’s always me…
Just getting everything ready for the time of your life.
Love you, mean it –

©www.tut.comP.S. Either that, Silver, or I lost my balance doing cartwheels behind the curtains of time and space.
So here’s my advice to writers today: Give your readers the unexpected! Surprise them. Make them think. Do a few cartwheels. And readers, find a book you can fall into and have the time of your life reading it.

I truly try to factor in a surprise now and then, but it is getting harder every day. I’m remembering a quote from somewhere and I think it might be in the Bible…”There is nothing new under the sun.” (or something like that). Whatever I attempt to say…….someone has already said it!!!
Good morning Silver. Nice to see you out and about early. Hope your day goes well.
You are correct. It is from the Bible: Ecclesiastes 1:9.
Writers recognize this for what it is and all we can do is find a entertaining way to tell an old story. I might have been up but I was slow to get around. LOL Life keeps getting in the way of my good intentions.
I know what you mean. I have my “days” too, but I try my hardest to ignore them! lol
I’m really good at detecting twists too. Cartwheels can be very interesting, at least for someone like me. I have NEVER been able to do one. If I could, that would be a twist for sure😜.
Have a great afternoon.
I was always better at round-offs than cartwheels. LOL And yes, you are VERY good at detecting the plot twists. 😉
