The vet called yesterday afternoon. Jake has large-cell lymphoma. We knew it was a possibility because of the cancerous growth on his tail. We were all hoping and praying the amputation had “fixed” it. It didn’t. The damn cancer had probably already spread. His compromised immunue system likely increased the possibility of him contracting theEhrlichiosis. We are sure what we’re going to do short term. His appointment this morning will help determine next step. It all comes down to quality of life and his pretty much sucks at the moment. So does ours.
