Yeah…I’m late. I normally set up the blog the day before so it will post at an actual scheduled time. If I waited to post on the day of, I might never get anything posted–or at least not posted until…oh…say…4 p.m. Anyway, I got busy yesterday for…reasons. I had to people. Then I had stuff to do. Then I had more stuff to do. And then I made the world go away and I actually did some writerly-type work. Like finish a chapter, set up the next chapter, and organize some of those random scenes floating out there on various sized pieces of paper on my desk. I should take a picture but I’m embarrassed. Anyway. Since I’m being random, here. These are some random thoughts I might or might not have actually had. TGIF. Have a great weekend.
- I’ve never opened the fridge after a rough day and thought, “This calls for celery.”
- Some days, you just need a hug, a forehead kiss and a grilled cheese sandwich cut diagonally.
- Day One of my diet: Cheat day.
- Never underestimate a woman with a Crockpot and a can of cream of something soup.
- Them: How many push ups can you do?
Me: If they’re the orange flavor, 3.

Yummmm my favorite kind of push-up!
Good Morning Silver. I’m running late too. It’s been a very disjointed kind of morning.
Hope things are better now! Take care!
🤣Those are great.
Sounds like you accomplished quite a bit yesterday.
Today I saw the surgeon and am now in a brace. Things ache but that’s to be expected. I think I will try driving by Sunday.
As for push-ups, never ate them. The kids loved them. I am a standard push-up girl and the doc told me my wrist may never bend for them again. I’m a determined little bugger so we will see. Still no real work-outs for 21 more days☹️.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Progress! And yes, each new movement and task will make you sore but still…PROGRESS!! You are a far better woman than I, Gunga Dina. I hate push-ups. And pull-ups. And I was never a big fan of the orange kind either. I was more a drumstick kinda girl. 😉 Cheers to continued healing! Have a good weekend.
ROFL… love me some ‘cream of something’ soup. For the record, my go-to is mushroom. Sometimes, I do say ‘this calls for celery’ but never after a rough day and only as an addition to something else to give it the illusion of being healthy. Mmm, grilled cheese. And yes, I can do 3 push-ups, if they’re the orange ones. ;o)
Have an awesome weekend. For me, it’s back to rearranging the house whilst Hubs is away. Yay!
Amazing what happens when the hubbies are awsay. 😉I thought all of those were pretty funny but also true. And Cream of Mushroom is a staple in my p;antry. Enjoy your weekend but don’t overdo yourself.
I’m pretty much back on track with the writing–at least during the week days. I got invited to a “zoom room” where some writers I know drop in, visit briefly, then go mute and write. There are scheduled breaks to come up for air, visit, talk about progress or problems for about 5 minutes and then it’s back to work. Yesterday was my first day, I finished a chapter. Today, I finished a second chapter, adding 1500 words. Called Writer’s Cafe, it’s only open M-F. I may take this weekend to reread the 17 chapters I’ve written to make sure they make sense in the timeline, then get a refresh of the random scenes still hanging out there and try to get them moved around to be in some semblance of order. Goal is to have this puppy out by the end of the year. We’ll see. Anyway, I’m writing so YAYAY! Have a great weekend.
Go, you! I’m editing DN3 right now. Maybe we’ll both have things to publish by the end of the year. :hugs:
